The Lodge
DangelA boutique lodge has four lovely bedrooms each with its own ensuite bathroom and three of them have their own private balcony. Next to the house is the seasonally heated, saltwater swimming pool and all is surrounded by established gardens, rolling lawns, an orchard with a variety of fruit trees and there is even a rain-fed pond. The rear of the house opens on to a patio perfectly set up for barbeques, al fresco dining or for just relaxing and marvelling at the magnificent Puriri tree or gazing over the rural landscape.
While staying at our lodge there are plenty of spaces for you to access and share with us and the other guests, such as the open-plan living area which includes a comfortable lounge, a cosy reader’s corner, the formal dining room with a square contemporary dining table (that seats eight and lends itself beautifully to a full dining experience) and the living room for your breakfast or casual dining.
Also shared are the outdoor areas which include the spacious patio for alfresco breakfasts or dining and a barbeque to sizzle your sausages or grill that freshly caught fish. Adjacent to the patio is the seasonally heated salt water pool while the lawns leading off the patio beckon you to walk around the gardens, orchard and on to the rain-fed pond.
Only available to guests when the whole house is rented is the fully equipped kitchen that is an entertainer’s dream with everything you need, including an induction hob and Bosch appliances, and the washing machine in the laundry room.
The toilet in the laundry room is available to all guests at all times.
The bed linen and towels in all rooms are of high quality to make you feel pampered and extra special. All rooms have amenities including tea & coffee making facilities and a mini fridge.
Master suite
The spacious master bedroom on the first floor has a king sized bed, its own separate European-style bathroom which has a bidet as well as a toilet, a double-headed shower and a hand basin. There is also a balcony that is perfect for watching the sunrise and for soaking in the breath-taking view out across the countryside to the Mahurangi harbour, and the various offshore islands. The start to the day has never been so inspiring!
Mediterranean room
This light-filled room with queen sized bed has the bonus that its bathroom not only has a shower but a full-sized bath for you truly to relax away your aches, pains and troubles or to prepare for that special day. The private, intimate balcony is perfect for catching the sun's rays early in the day while sipping your early morning tea, mid-morning coffee or for reading your favourite book in the cool of the afternoon.
Blue room
Decorated in the English country cottage style this bedroom also has a large, separate walk-in wardrobe with plenty of hanging space and shelves. The queen sized mattress is a new, firm orthopaedic one for those who like to be well supported while they sleep. The private, intimate balcony is perfect for catching the sun's rays early in the day.
Pool Room
This room is only available if the whole house is rented. It is situated by the pool and has a trundle bed which means it has two set-up options: a king single for those who want their own space; a twin share set up of a king single with a standard single.

With consideration for our other guests, we do not permit children (under 16 yrs) and we regret that we cannot permit pets, parties, or smoking

Security deposit (for the whole house rental only) - $500 or 20% of rental whichever is the greater
Cancellation policy:
- 100% refund if cancelled more than 48 hours before check-in time
- 50% refund if cancelled more than 24 hours but less than 48 hours before check-in time
- No refund if cancelled less than 24 hours before check in time
Confirmation of booking is from date/time of receipt of payment
